The Super League campaign concludes on Saturday and all eyes are on Old Trafford as Wigan Warriors prepare to take on Warrington Wolves.
These two teams have already met in the Grand Final at ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ twice in the last five years and on both occasions Wigan lifted the trophy, with Warrington are still looking to end their wait for a Super League success.
The Warriors come into Saturday’s game as the form team in the competition and have hit their peak form at the right time.
Wigan have the tools and experience at this level to get the job done, and they can win with a -4.5 handicap.
While it is not vital, a fast start in the Grand Final is always important. Wigan have their own emotional attachment to the game, with several players leaving and coach Shaun Wane moving on after two decades at the club.
The pressure will be on Wigan to start fast but they have the squad to handle the occasion.
Although Sam Tomkins and John Bateman are leaving the Cherry and Whites, there’s every chance Wire star Josh Charnley could steal some of their limelight.
The former Wigan star has enjoyed a stunning campaign, scoring 24 tries in 27 appearances since his return from rugby union.
Charnley loves the big occasion and after scoring in previous Grand Finals, he should be one to watch in Manchester.
