Challenge Cup Quarter-finals – Who will make the last four?

There are some intriguing contests to come in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals but who has the ability to reach the last-four showdowns at the Macron Stadium on August 5.

Catalans 17/10 to beat Huddersfield

The Dragons and the Giants will get the quarter-finals up and running when the French outfit make the trip across the Channel for the encounter on Thursday.

Catalans managed to beat Huddersfield in their last outing in April, with the Dragons coming out on top 27-6.

Granted that game did take place in Perpignan and the Dragons are notorious for their struggles on the road.

However they know what it take to beat the West Yorkshire outfit and, having beaten reigning Super League champions Leeds Rhinos in their last outing, the Dragons might just edge this one.

Leigh 10/13 to beat Leeds with a +14.5 handicap

The Rhinos have been hammered by injuries of late and their form in the Super League has severely suffered as a consequence.

Leeds welcome back the likes of Joel Moon and Carl Ablett back for the encounter with Leigh Centurions, with the game taking place down the road at Featherstone on Friday.

The Rhinos should still be able to edge out the Championship opposition but expect the Centurions to give Leeds a hard time and the handicap market could be the way to go.

Warrington 1/1 to beat Wigan

Following the shock announcement of head coach Shaun Wane that he will be leaving Wigan, the Warriors have been in turmoil.

A shock 24-8 defeat to strugglers Hull KR soon followed and now the Warriors will have to work hard to turn things around.

Warrington will be lying in wait for this game on Saturday and expect to Wolves to smell blood and come out on top in this one.

St Helens 29/20 to win Challenge Cup

St Helens and Hull FC wrap up the week’s Challenge Cup fixtures on Sunday and the Airlie Birds will have to produce their performance of the season to stop the Saints.

Justin Holbrook’s side are the team to beat this term and not only should they secure a semi-final spot but they look like the ones who could go all the way and lift the trophy this term.
