Lewis Hamilton can set a new outright record for most victories in the British GP if he claims a sixth career victory at Silverstone on Sunday.
Hamilton to win @ 5/7
The four-time and defending world champion has won the last four editions of the British GP and will take some beating this weekend.
Hamilton won the 2017 race with a grand slam as he qualified on pole, led for the whole race, set the fastest lap, and to top it off won by a staggering 14 seconds ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas.
The 33-year-old seems to pull out some of his best performances at his ‘home’ circuit and it is hard to see any of his rivals getting the better of him this time around.
Mercedes suffered with technical issues in Austria last time out and also made some glaring strategy errors, but both the team and Hamilton will be desperate to bounce back and Silverstone could be the ideal venue for a response.
Hamilton fastest lap @ 12/5
For a bit more value, Hamilton to set the fastest lap really appeals. The Briton has done just that in three of the last four British GPs and his Mercedes car is well suited to the circuit.
Sainz top-six finish @ 4/1
Renault’s Carlos Sainz has been a consistent performer this season as the Spaniard has picked up points in seven of the nine races so far.
The 23-year-old has only managed a top-six finish once, however, and if you’re looking for a safer bet the 20/39 on a top-10 finish looks a solid option, but it could pay to be a bit bolder and take the tempting 4/1 on a top-six spot for Sainz.
