Shrewsbury Town are in danger of seeing a season so full of promise end in disappointment, but can they redeem themselves in the League One play-off final?
The Shrews appeared to be in line for automatic promotion for much of the campaign, only to be overhauled by Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers.
Now they face a winner-takes-all clash against Rotherham United on Sunday, with the Shrews having kept two clean sheets in their semi-final win over Charlton Athletic, while scoring more than one goal in only one of their last nine games.
Shrewsbury to win by one goal – 16/5
Town finished eight points clear of the Millers in the regular season and should just have the edge at Wembley. But it likely to be a close affair, with the Shropshire lads also worth considering at 15/2 to claim a 1-0 victory.
Both meetings of the two sides earlier in the season were decided by one-goal margins so everything is pointing to the finest of margins making the difference.
Meanwhile, the League Two play-off final on Monday sees Coventry City looking to take a first step back up the Football League ladder by defeating Exeter City.
McNulty to score first goal – 29/10
The Sky Blues have a man in form in front of goal, with striker Marc McNulty netting seven goals in his last six games and, while he is a little skinny at 1/1 to score at any time, he is worth watching to grab the first goal of the game.
Coventry to win by two goals – 21/4
The League Two final appears likely to serve up more goals than League One, with both sides stronger in attack than defence.
But it is the Midlanders who look, on paper, to have more firepower as they showed with a 4-1 semi-final, second-leg win at Notts County.
