United no match for rampant City

Manchester City can gain some revenge for last season’s home derby defeat to United by beating Jose Mourinho’s side on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s team only lost two Premier League matches in 2017/18 but their defeat to United in April stung as it was so unexpected and postponed their title celebrations.

They led 2-0 at half-time and had been completely dominant, only for United, inspired by two-goal hero Paul Pogba, to complete a stirring fightback and win 3-2.

City to win Manchester derby 3-1 @ 9/1

City will be determined to avoid a repeat of that result and given they are averaging three goals a game in the top flight and four at home, a porous United defence could be in trouble on Sunday.

In the past, Mourinho may have been able set up his side to frustrate City and come away with a goalless draw but United seem incapable of keeping clean sheets and have already let in 18 goals this term.

United may score at the Etihad Stadium although it will be City that eventually come away with the three points.

Van Dijk to score first goal @ 20/1

Liverpool have the perfect opponents in Fulham after suffering a shock midweek defeat in the Champions League at Red Star Belgrade.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s team are in defensive disarray and it should only be a matter of how many goals Liverpool win the game by. A 2-0 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s team, available at 8/1, will get them back on track after a tricky week.

Everton to draw 1-1 at Chelsea @ 31/4

Chelsea are one of this season’s over-achievers but Maurizio Sarri’s team may drop points against an Everton team that have won four of their last five league games.

The Toffees have scored 11 goals and conceded only four in that run while in Richarlison they have a player full of confidence and in rich form. The Brazilian is 9/1 to score the first goal at Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, Wolves have lost their last three games and could be heading away from the capital on Sunday evening with no points again as Arsenal have rediscovered the winning habit.

Unai Emery’s team have won seven and drawn two of their last nine league matches and are 7/1 to secure victory by a three-goal margin against their West Midlands opponents.
