Siewert’s Terriers can exploit Toffees’ weaknesses

So often we see a new manager bounce and I fancy Jan Siewert to make a winning start to life as Huddersfield boss against Everton.

Huddersfield to win @ 3/1

The German has been parachuted in to save the Premier League’s bottom club and needs to hit the ground running after a spot of warm weather work in Portugal.

In contrast, the Toffees were outfought by Millwall in the FA Cup on Saturday and Siewert will be aware that Marco Silva’s men are horrendous when it comes to defending balls into the box.

Expect plenty of that tonight in Kirklees, with the first goal to be a header priced at a tempting 4/1.

The Terriers have lost nine of their last 10 but a fresh start could breed newfound confidence and they can take advantage of an Everton side lacking belief by claiming their first win over this opposition since 1956.

Wolves to win @ 11/10

Neither Wolves nor West Ham did themselves justice in the cup on Saturday but while Nuno Espirito Santo’s men snatched a 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury, the Hammers were woeful in their 4-2 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.

It means the Premier League is all the Hammers have to play for now and they have a good record at Molineux, not losing at the ground since 1982. However, they lack consistency and have failed to score in their last two on the road.

Wolves are another team who are struggling for rhythm but won an arm-wrestle at the London Stadium in September and can double it up tonight.
