With seven Premier League matches on Saturday, there are plenty of betting opportunities. Here we assess the games and best markets, including what should be a feisty Crystal Palace vs Brighton ‘derby’.
Crystal Palace v Brighton – Draw @ 51/20
Palace host Brighton in the ‘M23 derby’ – an eagerly-contested early game. Palace are more secure, in 13th place, whereas the Seagulls are 15th – five points clear of the bottom three.
These two do not like each other due to an odd rivalry that dates back to the 1970s and beyond. Expect it to be tight, with a draw backable at 51/20.
Rock-bottom Huddersfield are still clinging on and they can see off poor travellers Bournemouth to claim another stay of execution in the top flight.
The Cherries have lost 10 straight games on the road in all competitions, scoring just four goals in that spell, and Town have been spirited under Jan Siewert.
They claimed a late 1-0 home win over Wolves recently and can repeat that trick in this one.
Fulham are welcome visitors in Brendan Rodgers’ first home game in charge of Leicester. Last week didn’t go to plan for the former Liverpool and Celtic boss, as they went down at Watford, but this is much more winnable.
Second-bottom Fulham, who look set for the Championship, have Scott Parker in interim charge. However, they simply do not have enough quality and the fired-up Foxes should get the job done comfortably.
Spurs’ title challenge has again fallen by the wayside and, following the win over Borussia Dortmund in the week, the Champions League is now probably their priority.
Finishing in the top four remains tough, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all in attendance, and another stumble looks on here.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have not won in three in the league and St Mary’s is not an easy place to pick up points, as the south-coast outfit, who are one place above the relegation zone, are desperate for points.
Expect a goalscoring draw, with Saints scoring first (31/20) also worth considering this weekend.
