Foxes offer top-six value

The start of the 2018-19 Premier League season is less than four weeks away and with all eyes on the title race and top four, it is easy to forget that value can be found further down the table.

Both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all expected to fight for the top six, but below them there are a number of clubs knocking on the door for a Europa League place.

Leicester – Top-Six Finish @ 15/2

Leicester famously upset the odds to win the title in 2015-16 and, after the inevitable hangover, showed decent signs of progress after Claude Puel’s arrival last October.

The Frenchman seems to divide opinion but there are no doubts he gets results and Jonny Evans’ purchase seems the pick of a number of shrewd signings.

Puel worked wonders with an underrated squad at Nice and as he showed last season, as well as during his time at Southampton, he knows how to shape a team.

Everton – Top-Six Finish @ 11/2

Everton’s rightful place in the Premier League seems to be seventh in the table although Marco Silva’s arrival could inject some fresh momentum into a squad that undoubtedly has both talent and experience.

Silva’s spells at both Hull and Watford have ended in heartache and he arguably has as much to prove as his underperforming squad.

A kind run of opening fixtures can help the Toffees find some early momentum and a fast start could prevent the misery of last term.

Wolves – Top-Six 6 Finish @ 9/1

Wolves are the unknown quantity of the Premier League as, having won the Championship with an extremely strong squad, more big names are expected to arrive at Molineux.

Their relationship with ‘super-agent’ Jorge Mendes has helped secure permanent deals for Diogo Jota and Willy Boly, both of whom have played in the Champions League.

With four of their opening six games coming against Everton, Leicester, West Ham and Burnley, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will find out pretty early on where they stand in the pecking order, but don’t be surprised if they are there or thereabouts in the final top-six reckoning.
