Expect goals on Boxing Day

Christmas Day will have come and gone but have no fear, Boxing Day football is on the way!!!

The Premier League action begins at lunchtime when Tottenham host Southampton. Harry Kane was clinical as his hat-trick secured Spurs’ 3-0 win at Burnley on Saturday but the Saints’ inability to finish chances continues to haunt them, as witnessed in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw against Huddersfield.

A home win seems likely in this one, despite doubts over Spurs’ Wembley form, so look out for the 11/10 on offer for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to triumph to zero.

There are six games at three o’clock and there is likely to be more drama at the bottom than at the top of the table.

Bournemouth can certainly gain points when West Ham come to town and will be keen to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-0 thumping at Manchester City, while the Hammers lost to Newcastle.

A home win is 9/5 but it is likely to be a different story at The Hawthorns where Everton should blow West Brom away.

The Baggies are sinking fast, while the Toffees are surging up the table and seem almost destined for their natural position of seventh.

An away win at 2/1 seems almost too good to turn down and could be the price of the day.

Finally, it looks set to be more misery for Swansea when they travel to free-scoring Liverpool in the late game.

The Swans battled to a 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace last time out but remain susceptible to pace and the Reds have that in abundance.

They may have looked rubbish in defence in Friday’s 3-3 draw at Arsenal but they are unlikely to be troubled and it could even be another case of over 3.5 goals at 21/20.
