Desperate duo to share spoils in Yorkshire

We might have only turned the calendar over to November but Monday night’s clash between Huddersfield and Fulham is already being billed as a six-pointer. The Terriers are without a win this season, while the Cottagers are in freefall.

With two teams desperate for a win, there promises to be fireworks at the John Smith’s Stadium on Bonfire Night.

Draw @ 47/20

After Newcastle’s win over Watford on Saturday, Huddersfield are now the only team who have yet to collect three points this season, their last Premier League victory coming way back in April.

Having survived by the skin of their teeth last term, David Wagner’s men are 17/10 to finish bottom of the table, a position they currently occupy. Having shown signs of improvement in the three weeks before last week’s loss at Watford, the Yorkshire outfit were dreadful at Vicarage Road and could have gone back to square one.

Just a home goal would be a result for Huddersfield having failed to net in the last seven at the John Smith’s Stadium and they should at least get chances against the worst defence in the league.

Both teams to score – yes @ 20/23

No side has ever conceded more goals in their first 10 matches of a Premier League season than Fulham, the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth taking their tally to 28.

Between these two sides, they have only kept one clean sheet all season so it appears likely there will be goals on Monday evening. Aleksander Mitrović will be hoping to get back on track having failed to score in his last four and is 2/1 to net anytime.

Cottagers’ head coach Slavisa Jokanovic’s will be desperate to see his compatriot get back on the goal trail with his job hanging in the balance after a run of five straight defeats in all competitions.

They should be much better off than second from bottom given the money spent in the summer but Jokanovic can’t seem to figure out what his best XI or system is.

Given how each side is playing, a point would hardly be satisfactory but seems the likely outcome in a match between two teams destined to spent much of the season at the wrong end of the table.
