City to march past Saints

Pep Guardiola

Wednesday night promises to produce plenty of Premier League drama and there are issues to be discussed at both ends of the table.

Leaders Manchester City are amongst those involved and will be confident of maintaining their unbeaten run at home to Southampton. The Saints impressed in beating Everton 4-1 on Sunday and also troubled the Citizens at the Etihad last term.

Pep Guardiola’s men are pretty good at the moment and although they will again be without John Stones, they should win but possibly with both teams scoring at 29/20.

Champions Chelsea are also in action and should have no issues against Swansea. The Swans seem to be dropping like a stone and it is hard to ignore the home win but with it such a short price, perhaps punt for over 3.5 goals at 13/10.

Arsenal are also likely to get the job done against Huddersfield but another short price means over 3.5 goals might again be interesting (5/4).

Liverpool should be too good for Stoke. The Potters are struggling to find any sort of momentum and, with goals clearly an issue, a 1-0 or 2-0 win to Liverpool – at 17/2 and 31/4 respectively – looks solid.

Burnley have been one of the surprise packages of the season and, after Sunday’s heartbreaking late loss to Arsenal, can bounce back at Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe’s side have got themselves together after struggling early on, but are a streaky side, and with Sean Dyche’s reputation improving all the time, an away win could be on the cards at 16/5.

Finally, the game of the night could be at Goodison Park where struggling Everton and misfiring West Ham do battle.

David Moyes will be desperate to get a win over his old employers and with the Toffees totally stuck, the Hammers could do the business at 23/10.
