Home record can see Swiss through

Switzerland, Shaqiri

The final batch of this month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers take place this evening and Switzerland can do themselves a favour by beating Denmark.

Switzerland to win @ 6/5

June’s Nations League is next up for the Rossocrociati and they will be keen to maintain their momentum after winning 2-0 in Georgia on Saturday.

Tonight’s visitors to Basel are likely to be their biggest rivals in Group D and are undefeated in their last six games. Having been the side to miss out on a game on Friday due to this pool having five nations, the Danes will want to hit the ground running.

The Swiss beat Belgium 5-2 in their last home game – that result coming in Luzern – and are very handy in front of their fans, avoiding defeat in their last 10.

This game is unlikely to be a classic but considering how good Vladimir Petkovic’s men can be at home, they should have enough to shade a decent game.

Norway v Sweden to draw @ 2/1

There is a Scandinavian derby in Group F, as Norway and Sweden get it on in Oslo.

The Norwegians will have taken heart from their opening 2-1 defeat in Spain, while the Swedes won by the same scoreline at home to Romania.

These two are hardly the most expansive sides and each of their last three meetings in Norway have ended in draws, a result both would probably be happy with.
