Burnley to sneak through

Sean Dyche

Burnley and Istanbul Basaksehir played out a goalless draw last week but home advantage can see the Clarets through in the third round of Europa League qualifying.

Burnley to win @ 5/4

The Clarets have found scoring tough so far this season and needed extra-time to get past a game Aberdeen side in the last round.

Basaksehir have a bit of a rogue’s gallery of players who have been all around Europe, with Emmanuel Adebayor back in contention after missing the first leg, while Gael Clichy is also likely to feature.

Joe Hart has kept two clean sheets in as many games since joining the Clarets and could well do the same tonight.

It looks set to be a nervous, cagey game at Turf Moor but home advantage can see Sean Dyche’s men through, especially with the Turkish side having never kept a clean sheet away from home in Europe.

Maribor to win @ 23/20

Rangers are unbeaten under Steven Gerrard in competitive fixtures but face a real test in Slovenia against NK Maribor.

A 3-1 advantage gives them a cushion but face a Maribor team in decent form themselves and they will be fresh after smashing Gorica 5-0.

Gerrard’s side have shown they can defend this season and although they may sneak through, it could be a long night at Stadion Ljudski vrt.
