Cardiff have been one of the surprise packages of the Championship season so far and can continue their run at Reading.
After losing out in last May’s play-off final, the Royals have suffered from a hangover but seem to have kicked into gear with their recent run of four unbeaten.
However, the second-placed Bluebirds have won their last four and Neil Warnock is once again showing himself to be one of the best managers at building teams capable of getting out of this most competitive of divisions.
They also happen to have the best defensive record in the Championship, conceding only 14 in their 20 games to date.
Another clean sheet may not be forthcoming but a win could be as they aim to close the gap between themselves and leaders Wolves back down to two points, while just importantly doubling their advantage over third-placed Bristol City.
