Wolves to get back on track at Tractor Boys

Wolverhampton look set to get their Championship campaign back on track when they make the trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Wolves have stumbled just slightly on their sprint towards the Championship title, with a goalless draw against Barnsley before a surprise 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest last time out.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has had his Wolves squad away on warm-weather training in Spain and they should be rejuvenated ahead of their trip to Portman Road.

Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich did not look at the races in their 1-1 draw with strugglers Bolton Wanderers last time out and Wolves should justify being 2/3 favourites as they look to get back on track this weekend in the race for promotion.

Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers are an interesting price at 16/5 to get a win at Bristol City on Saturday, with the Robins having to get over their exit in the EFL semi-finals on Tuesday night.

Lee Johnson’s men put a lot of physical and emotional energy into their performance against Manchester City but ultimately fell short against the Premier League frontrunners.

The distraction of those encounters with Pep Guardiola’s stars appears have been too much for the Robins, as their Championship form in that spell has gone down the drain.

Defeats to Norwich, Aston Villa and Wolves followed by a draw with Derby in their last four league outings have allowed the chasing pack to catch up with Johnson’s men in their race for the play-offs.

Having given so much against Man City, QPR, who earlier this month picked up a scalp against promotion contenders Cardiff City, could be able to cause another upset against a Robins side who will be tired after their cup heroics.
