Owls to maintain unbeaten run

Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed a fine run in the Championship and they will be chomping at the bit after the international break to take points off another promotion contender on Friday night.

Title hopefuls Middlesbrough are the next side to try their luck at Hillsborough, which has proved to be a tough place to earn wins in recent months.

Only Wigan Athletic, on the opening weekend of the season, have managed to claim a win at the home of the Owls.

Since then Hull City, Millwall, Ipswich, Stoke, Leeds and West Brom have all failed to claim the three points in South Yorkshire.

Having gone on a four-game unbeaten streak, Wednesday will fancy their chances against a Boro side that suffered a 2-0 defeat on home soil to Nottingham Forest last time out.

West Brom to win @ 5/4

High-flying West Brom will also be full of confidence when they make the trip to the DW Stadium to face Wigan.

The Baggies have started to get to grips with the rigours of the Championship and now find themselves in second place in the table and in with a real shout of finishing top of the pile come the end of the campaign.

A 4-1 win over Reading before the international break will have done Darren Moore’s side no harm, as they prepare to face a struggling Latics outfit.

Wigan started the season promisingly but have gone their last three games without a win, including a 4-0 hammering against Lancashire rivals Preston last time out.

West Brom should have just too much quality across the park and are expected to continue their push to the top of the Championship.
