Barcelona should see off Manchester United in their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday, while goals look on the menu in Turin.
Manchester United have already made one unexpected comeback in this season’s Champions League but don’t expect a repeat of their Paris heroics in Barcelona.
Much was said about how United competed with Barcelona last week but the fact is they lost the game 1-0, rarely looked like scoring and it felt like Barca were happy with a one-goal win from a long way out. They should be more free-flowing on home soil and it’s not hard to see United struggling to cope.
Backing the hosts to score in both halves looks a solid enough move – if they do find the net early on, as they did at Old Trafford, United will simply have to come out and few sides are better equipped to punish opponents on the break than Barca.
They’ve managed to land this bet in three of their four home Champions League games this season (v PSV, Inter and Lyon) and it’s also happened more often than not in La Liga at the Nou Camp.
Another bet on the hosts which looks strong is in the possession percentage market where United get a +25 start.
Everyone knows how Barca cherish the ball and they showed that at Old Trafford where they had 66 per cent of possession – they will need 62.6 per cent to win this bet.
United were also chasing the ball for long periods of their away leg against PSG, who saw 72% of it, so the hosts are the call.
In the night’s other game, Ajax will look to repeat their amazing 4-1 win away to Real Madrid in the last round when they head to Juventus.
The first leg ended 1-1 but, in echoes of their home game with Real, Ajax were able to create plenty of chances and their flowing football should cause the hosts problems.
Juve are more solid defensively than Real but 4/5 about both teams scoring still looks a good play given how well Ajax have fared in this competition.
In the goalscorer markets, Donny van de Beek offers some value to net at any time.
Usually playing in behind the main striker, he has scored in four of his last six away games and was instrumental in the Bernabeu.
