Morgan’s men ready to fire

With England’s Test side far from impressive for the most part, it has been left up to the limited-overs side to maintain a positive atmosphere in recent times.

And skipper Eoin Morgan leads the ODI outfit into a major summer, starting with a clash against Scotland at the Grange on Saturday.

The challenges of taking on Australia and India lie just around the corner and a win in Edinburgh is an absolute must, as long as the weather holds up.

Top team batsman Eoin Morgan @ 19/4

A firepower-packed Three Lions top-order will be eager to make the most of an opportunity to cement a place for the rest of the summer programme, with one of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Alex Hales facing missing out unless there is a loss of form from a team-mate.

Captain Morgan, likely to come in at four, may be a better option, especially having scored a superb century in his last innings for Middlesex in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Top team bowler Adil Rashid @ 59/20

As with the battling line-up, it is all change on the bowling front, with the likes of Liam Plunkett, David Willey and Moeen Ali back in the frame.

However, Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid may well be the man with the most to prove, having taken the decision to shun red-ball cricket for the time being.

Off-spinner Moeen at 23/4 may also be a decent option, despite seamer-friendly conditions likely to be the order of the day.

Top team bowler Brad Wheal @ 33/10

With the ball Scotland have some very solid performers, none more so than Hampshire seamer Brad Wheal, who has taken eight wickets in his last three ODI outings, including against both Ireland and the West Indies.

Fellow paceman Safyaan Sharif has also been in county action with Derbyshire in recent times and he is a decent prospect at 15/4, especially when you consider he has taken 12 wickets in his last four one-day internationals.
