Spain to bounce back in Zagreb

The Nations League returns tonight and the pick of the ties appears to come from League A Group 4 where Croatia welcome Spain.

Spain to win @ 11/10

England are the other team in this pool and surprisingly it is World Cup finalists Croatia who prop it up, with their inevitable hangover following their run in Russia nadiring against La Furia Roja in Elche.

Luis Enrique’s men won 6-0 that night but head to Zagreb on the back of a disappointing 3-2 home defeat to the Three Lions.

The group looks well balanced but this is Spain’s chance to seal top spot and they have a great opportunity.

The Vatreni still seem to be finding their feet after losing some key players on the back of their Russian adventure and I’m backing the Spaniards to bounce back.

Republic of Ireland v Northern Ireland – Draw @ 2/1

Both Irish teams have struggled to adapt to the Nations League, sitting bottom of their respective groups, but they can build momentum ahead of their closing pool fixtures in this friendly clash.

With promotion off the cards they need things to go their way to maintain their places in League B. The match in Dublin marks the first time the pair have played since 2011 and is unlikely to be a classic.

In fact, they are so tough to split that the draw may well be the answer at an extremely tempting price.
