Kei Nishikori and Marin Cilic meet in the quarter-finals of the US Open and the Japanese can get revenge for his heartbreak of four years ago.
Nishikori to win @ 27/20
The Croatian comprehensively won in straight sets when the pair met in the 2014 final and has since made it to two other Grand Slam showpieces, only to fall short.
Nishikori in contrast has seen injury prevent him from kicking on, with a wrist problem plaguing his 2017 campaign.
After a quarter-final at Wimbledon, the 28-year-old seems to be getting back to his best and has dropped just one set so far at Flushing Meadows.
Barring a five-setter against Alex de Minaur, where he came from 2-0 down, Cilic has had it easy but his lack of consistency is a worry.
While he hits a hard ball, Nishikori’s defence is as good as it has ever been and that resourcefulness and can see him through today.
Osaka to win 2-1 @ 47/20
Naomi Osaka has done us proud so far at Flushing Meadows and can make her maiden Grand Slam semi-final by defeating Lesia Tsurenko.
The Japanese was pushed to three sets for the first time in the fourth round Arnya Sabalenka but showed good resolve to prevail.
Tsurenko’s big win came at the second hurdle against Caroline Wozniacki and she has shown admirable defence that could see her take a set but Osaka’s power should see her through.
