Murray can make some magic in Washington

We’ve all heard about Andy Murray’s fitness woes over the last 12 months but he can get his summer hard court campaign underway with a win in Washington.

Murray to win 2-0 @ 20/21

Murray has only played three matches this season, all of them coming on grass and was last seen in Eastbourne in June when he went down to Kyle Edmund.

Tonight’s opponent is Mackenzie McDonald and victory would set-up a rematch with the fourth-seeded Edmund in the second round.

McDonald had a decent grass court season, reaching the last 16 at Wimbledon but his disadvantage in the odds perhaps demonstrates the gulf in class between the pair.

Pospisil to win @ 13/10

Vasek Pospisil is a player who has served us well in the past and looks a great price to get the better of Alex De Minaur.

A poor showing at Wimbledon was followed by a quarter-final in Newport but De Minaur himself is lacking a bit of form, losing out to eventual winner John Isner in the last 16 last week in Atlanta.

This is the first time the pair have met but Pospisil is one of those players who can often pull it out the bag so look for the value and back him for the win.
