Les Verts to continue Monaco misery

342

Another summer of selling has hit Monaco hard and they look set for another tough night away at Saint-Etienne.

Saint-Etienne to win @ 11/10

Les Monegasques are almost unrecognisable from just 16 months ago when they thrilled us all with their Ligue 1 title win and Leonardo Jardim is now looking to shape a fresh batch of youngsters.

Tuesday’s 1-0 home defeat to Angers made it seven games without a win and with them 16th in the table, a relegation battle rather than a fight for the Champions League places looks to be on the agenda.

Les Verts won for the second game in a row on Tuesday, beating Toulouse 3-2 and barring a 4-0 loss at Paris Saint-Germain, have been generally solid.

The home win is a decent price and Jean-Louis Gasset’s side look good for a third straight victory.

Bristol City to win @ 6/4

Another side struggling are Aston Villa, winning just one of their last eight in all competitions and the pressure is mounting on Steve Bruce.

Tonight’s trip to Bristol City will be far from easy, despite the Robins losing their last two.

Both of those defeats came on the road after they had previously won two straight at Ashton Gate and Lee Johnson’s men can make home advantage count.
