LeBron James’ move to the LA Lakers has been the big talking point of the off-season and he can guide his team to an opening win against Portland.
Lakers – Moneyline FT @ 13/10
Injuries and trying to integrate new faces has made life tough for Luke Walton but with Lonzo Ball back fit, all eyes will be on him and James as they aim to forge a productive partnership.
In all the fanfare surrounding the new boy, it is Brandon Ingham who has excelled in pre-season and the 21-year-old could be a breakout star for the Lakers, having proved decisive in recent wins over Golden State.
The Trail Blazers are a quality outfit and Terry Stotts will have his sights set on topping the Northwest Division for the second straight season.
Taking the next step is now the aim but James’ presence seems too much to ignore and this is the chance for him and his team to prove they can be play-off contenders.
Isner v Klahn – Under 22.5 Games @ 13/10
Our second punt comes from the ATP event in Stockholm and John Isner should have no issues against fellow American Bradley Klahn.
The pair most recently played at the US Open, with the world number 10 coming out on top in straight sets and more of the same is likely later.
Isner won 2-0 in their only previous meeting back in 2014 and although Klahn recently made the headlines with a win over Nick Kyrgios, he is likely to struggle against his compatriot’s serve.
