Johnston looks good for success at Wolverhampton

Mark Johnston has a win rate of 18% over the last fortnight and there is plenty of reasons to suggest he can add to his tally today at Wolverhampton.

Caplin to win the 14:50 @ 9/4

Caplin is one of four entries for the North Yorkshire handler today, two at Wolverhampton and another two tonight at Chelmsford, and this selection is a C&D winner.

Reuniting with Joe Fanning also seems a good move and there looks to be decent scope for improvement in this gelding.

John Gosden’s Gantier could provide competition but history suggests this is Caplin’s race.

Molly Childers to win the 15:45 @ 9/2

More racing for our second tip and Molly Childers can make the most of a drop down in class as she goes at Warwick.

A dip into Listed company did not work out as she came home 15-lengths behind Atlanta Ablaze at Wincanton but before that had won a Qualifier and finished second at Kempton.

The wind surgery she underwent in November does not seem to have had any ill-affects and she will again have Ciaran Gethings on board today.

It seems a case of finding the right race for her and Stuart Edwards will feel she can shine through in this three-furlong affair.
