Honours even at the RCDE

Espanyol FC

Espanyol endured a miserable end to 2018 and will be desperate to get something tonight against Leganes.

Draw @ 11/5

Los Periquitos made a fine start to the season but went off the rails in the autumn and lost their last six games before the winter break.

The pressure is on Rubi to turn things around and tonight his team welcome a side who sit below them in the table but are unbeaten in their last seven.

Leganes have won just one of their last 24 on the road in La Liga, beating Real Valladolid 4-2 on December 1.

Slowly but surely, Los Pepineros seem to be finding their feet under Mauricio Pellegrino but are draw specialists, sharing the points in five of their last seven outings and that seems the value here.

Levante to win @ 11/10

Three without a win was how Levante signed off 2018 but a victory tonight would take them above opponents Girona.

The Catalans are another team who have drawn seven times this season and previously had an excellent record on the road, avoiding defeat in their first seven but have lost their last two.

Those reverses did come against Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla though and they, in fact, won at the Ciutat de Valencia last season.

However, Levante have triumphed in three of their last five at home and I just fancy them to get the new year off to a winning start.
