Daily Tips – Spurs to smash Hornets

Tottenham have had a week of soul-searching following their FA Cup semi-final exit but can get back on track against Watford.

Spurs again faltered in a big game, as despite taking the lead, they went down 2-1 to a resourceful Manchester United side, prompting more questions about their ability to raise their game.

A win tonight will help them move closer to another top-four finish and the Hornets are unlikely to offer too much resistance.

It seems almost inevitable now that the Hertfordshire outfit should fall off the radar in the second half of the season and having at one stage been challenging for Europe, now sit 13th in the standings.

Watford have also lost their last seven trips to London and have not got the better of Tottenham since 1994.

In fact, they have not beaten Spurs in the league since 1985 and have failed to score in their last seven away games in all competitions.

Tottenham have not won at Wembley since March 3 but should end that run in style this evening.

The 20/23 for a home win to zero is a bit short for me and instead I’m heading for the over 3.5 goals at the slightly more attractive 1/1.

Furthermore, Harry KaneĀ is 9/5 to open the scoring and 21/20 to net two or more.
