Getafe can continue their upturn in form when they welcome struggling Malaga to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
A five-game unbeaten run on their own patch has set them up nicely for the remainder of the campaign and Jose Bordalas seems to be on to a good thing after a tough few seasons for Los Azulones.
They are sure to be confident heading into the game, having kept clean sheets in their last four home matches against Friday’s opponents and their belief will be boosted by Los Boquerones not netting in their last three.
Malaga disappointingly lost at home to Espanyol on Monday and Michel’s job is now certainly on the line, having won just once on the road this season.
Despite previously coaching Getafe, it is unlikely to be a kind homecoming for the 54-year-old and I think this has got home win at 10/13 written all over it, while the 8/5 on offer for that outcome to zero may also persuade more positive punters.
The Bundesliga is also back and 2018 kicks off with a cracker as Bayer Leverkusen welcome Bayern Munich.
Bayer are unbeaten in 12 and have an excellent record against the Bavarians, remaining undefeated in nine of their last 10 home meetings.
Jupp Heynckes’ men are the standout side in Germany but this looks too close to call and instead I’m backing the 13/10 for over 3.5 goals.
