The Championship play-offs kick off tonight and Fulham can claim a crucial first-leg win at Derby.
The Cottagers’ only defeat this year came last week at Birmingham but they will be ready to go again and are 7/5 to triumph.
Recent history is one of my pointers, with Fulham having triumphed 2-1 at the iPro back in March and they have been head and shoulders above pretty much all of the division over recent months.
The pressure is now on them to convert their momentum into promotion but they have class throughout, especially in midfield where Tom Cairney, Kevin MacDonald and Stefan Johansen often set the pace.
Derby are a strange side who usually flirt with greatness before dropping short and they struggled to deal with Aleksandar Mitrovic in that meeting in March.
The Serb has netted 12 goals in 17 Championship outings since joining on loan from Newcastle in January and after netting the opener in March, is 7/2 to break the deadlock again.
My other tip is a Marseille win at Guingamp which is available at 4/5.
Les Phoceens are without Luiz Gustavo, Adil Rami and Rolando through a combination of injury and suspension and Rudi Garcia is likely to have one eye on next week’s Europa League final.
However, Guingamp have pretty much nothing to play for and having appeared to down tools last time out against Dijon, should be there for the taking.
