Chelsea can take their first step towards the EFL Cup final at Wembley when they entertain Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
The pair played out a thrilling 2-2 draw last week at the Emirates but their much-changed sides struggled in the FA Cup, with the Blues drawing at Norwich and Arsenal capitulating at Nottingham Forest.
Having rotated heavily at the weekend, both Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger will go as strong as they can and will see the EFL Cup as a genuine chance for silverware.
Interestingly, the Gunners have avoided defeat against Chelsea in their last four meetings, but Wenger has traditionally struggled against the Blues and that should continue later.
The Frenchman will again watch from the stands due to his touchline ban and could see his side come a cropper. Although the Gunners may nick a goal, their London rivals will feel they owe them one and I’m backing the 21/10 for a home win and both to score.
Elsewhere, we have plenty of action to peruse in Europe and I really fancy Rennes to beat Toulouse in the Coupe de la Ligue.
The French equivalent of the EFL Cup is unlikely to be at the top of either side’s list of priorities. However, despite losing their last two at home, admittedly both to Paris Saint-Germain, Les Rouges et Noirs are usually reliable at Roazhon Park so look generous at 21/20.
