Real Madrid’s current La Liga woes could well put Leganes in the eye of the storm when the pair meet in the Copa del Rey.
Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Villarreal means Los Blancos are now 19 points adrift of Barcelona and the cup perhaps represents a chance to restore some of their pride.
Leganes lost 3-2 to Real Betis on Monday and struggled with fatigue due to the short turnaround.
Unsurprisingly Real have won all four meetings between the sides, including a 4-2 triumph at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque last April.
This could give us a clue as injuries in defence mean Zinedine Zidane’s options are limited, resulting in a high-scoring affair.
Los Blancos should have more than enough to outdo their hosts and an away win seems a formality.
However, their defensive woes suggest that outcome but with both to score could be on the cards at 39/20 and there could be more for us here.
I think Leganes will go for this one in front of their home fans so I’m also backing over 3.5 goals at 7/4.
