Daily Tip – Lyon too strong for Rennes

Bruno Genesio

Lyon managed to blow a two-goal lead as they slumped to defeat against 10-man Monaco in their last Ligue 1 fixture but they can respond with a win over Rennes today.

Since then Les Gones have beaten Montpellier in the Coupe de France so they appear to be showing no ill effects of that loss at the Stade Louis II, and Rennes’ form points to a home win as well.

The visitors have lost their last three in a row in all competitions and have tasted defeat seven times in their last 10 fixtures.

Lyon are the 4/9 favourites but we should be able to get a bigger price out of this top-flight French clash.

Despite Rennes’ struggles they have still been scoring goals and have only failed to find the back of the net once in 13 away games in all competitions this term.

The hosts have only managed two clean sheets in their last 15 games overall so the 31/20 on a home win with both teams to score looks a good option.

In Spain’s La Liga, Celta Vigo look a solid option at 20/21 to beat a visiting Espanyol side, and Valencia can get back on track after a poor run with a -1 handicap win over lowly Levante at 31/20.
