Daily Tip – Lille likely to struggle in the Principality

474

Lille have had a nightmare season and things could get worse when they travel to Monaco.

Despite having their ranks pillaged last summer, Les Rouges et Blancs have continued to impress, currently sitting second in Ligue 1 and they are unbeaten since the end of November.

The Stade Louis II remains a fortress and Leonardo Jardim’s men welcome a side with just one win in their last six on the road and in real danger of going down.

Christophe Galtier initially steadied the ship following Marcelo Bielsa’s dramatic exit but has been hampered by a string of individual errors and his side now sit 19th. Things were made worse last weekend when his side’s 1-1 draw with Montpellier was interrupted by a pitch invasion aimed in protest at the board.

A home win appears hard to look past but the short price means the goal markets are sure to be our saviour. Over 3.5 at 5/4 is my pick for the night, with Monaco having won 4-0 (12/1) in each of the last two meetings between these sides.

Stevan Jovetic has netted five in his last four and is 21/20 to score anytime but he could make way for Radamel Falcao, who has an excellent record against Friday’s opponents. The Colombian has scored four times in the last two meetings between this sides and is 29/20 to grab two or more.
