Daily Tip – Leeds to add to Cotterill’s Blues

Leeds United, Elland Road

The fixtures come thick and fast at this time of year and it promises to be more festive misery for Birmingham when Leeds visit.

The Blues have won only one of their last 12 and needless to say they are now propping up the standings, three points from safety.

Boss Steve Cotterill seems to be hanging on to his job by the slimmest of margins and the questions he asked about his squad’s mental strength in the aftermath of Tuesday’s 2-0 home defeat to Norwich does not bode well.

In contrast, Leeds are flying and there is a genuine feeling this could finally be the year they get back into the Premier League.

Four straight wins has got them back in the play-off contention and they will fancy themselves heading to St Andrew’s.

An away win on Saturday at 5/4 looks too good to miss and with Birmingham’s injury woes in attack, I may even be inclined to look to the 23/10 on offer for a Leeds victory to zero.

Another price that stands out is the 6/4 for Fulham to win at hapless Hull.

The Cottagers are really finding their feet while the Tigers continue to flounder and I can’t see them getting anything from Slavisa Jokanovic’s men.
