Celta Vigo entertain Real Betis today and I’m expecting the hosts to end a three-game winless streak at home.
After losing their first home game of the season to Real Sociedad the Celticos have been a tough nut to crack in Vigo, losing only to Atletico Madrid and Villarreal since.
Celta managed to hold both Barcelona and Real Madrid to draws at the Balaidos in their last two home games and since then they’ve picked up successive away wins at Levante and Sociedad.
Betis head into this one on the back of consecutive away wins at struggling Malaga and against Sevilla in the Seville derby but they may find Celta too strong this evening.
Overall, the Beticos have been fairly poor on the road with just three wins in nine La Liga attempts, with five defeats so far.
Celta are 10/13 to come out on top but there could be a bit more value at there as they tend to be strong starters at the Balaidos.
In four of their last six home games – including their recent clashes with Barca and Los Blancos – Juan Carlos Unzue’s men have scored in the first half so the home/home result in the half-time/full-time market at 8/5 is worth a look and the 12/5 on a Celta 1-0 result at half-time stands out.
