Manchester City put their unbeaten run on the line in the EFL Cup against Leicester and, even though they will make changes, the side should continue their fine form.
The Citizens have been magnificent this season and their run included a 2-0 win at the King Power last month, so much so that Foxes boss Claude Puel has described them as the “best team in Europe”.
Puel himself has overseen some excellent results since his October arrival in the East Midlands but, like Pep Guardiola, will have one eye on the upcoming Premier League fixtures, with neither manager likely to view this competition as a priority.
It means both bosses will make changes and this is where City could have the advantage, bearing in mind that Ilkay Gundogan, Yaya Toure and Claudio Bravo are the calibre of players set to come in.
There is a side note as former City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who is 16/5 as an anytime scorer, is set to appear for the Foxes, but even a player with a point to prove is unlikely to stop this batch of Citizens.
Leicester are likely to score although Guardiola’s men are showing no signs of slowing down so the away win with both to score tempts at 8/5.
Gabriel Jesus is 3/1 to open the scoring, just like he did when these sides met in November.
