City to squeeze past Palace

Pep Guardiola

Manchester City can make it nine Premier League wins in a row when they take on a spirited Crystal Palace today.

City to win and both to score @ 9/5

The Eagles are the only side to have beaten Pep Guardiola’s title-chasers in the league at the Etihad this season and Roy Hodgson is likely to use similar tactics as he aims to spring another surprise.

Every point counts for the visitors but they have defensive worries, especially at left-back where Benjamin Mendy is again likely to feature but is still far from full fitness.

However, Palace are also short at the back now James Tomkins has been ruled out for the rest of the season and while they are always dangerous in attack, I expect City to find a way.

Valencia to win and both to score @ 8/5

Our second tip comes from Spain where Valencia can claim the bragging rights over local rivals Levante.

A late show meant Los Che won 3-1 at Villarreal on Thursday in the Europa League and they look set to have a real go at that competition.

They are a bit casual at the back though, as shown in last week’s 2-0 defeat at Rayo Vallecano but have not lost at the Mestalla since the start of November.

Levante are edging towards the relegation places having not won any of their last seven games but will have extra motivation to get something out of their city rivals. However, Valencia are a far superior side and it may even be worth more positive punters checking out the 17/2 for a 3-1 home win.
