Blues should beat the Hornets

Maurizio Sarri

Watford have not won at Stamford Bridge since 1986 and that run is unlikely to change today.

Chelsea to win and both to score @ 8/5

Tottenham’s 1-0 loss at Bournemouth on Saturday means that Maurizio Sarri’s men can move up to third in the Premier League with a victory today, a result that would end a three-match winless run.

Watford have won only one of their last four games since reaching the final of the FA Cup but do like facing the big boys, beating their hosts 4-1 at home last season.

Eden Hazard scored twice in a 2-1 win at Vicarage Road over Christmas and with the brilliant Belgian likely to come back into the team after starting Thursday’s 1-1 Europa League draw in Frankfurt on the bench, Chelsea should have too much.

Leverkusen to win and both to score @ 6/4

Saturday’s results saw Bayer Leverkusen drop out of the European places but they can elevate themselves again today against Eintracht Frankfurt.

After flopping at Borussia Dortmund, Peter Bosz has found his feet since coming in at Bayer in December and they have won four of their last six at home.

Three of those games have seen them keep a clean sheet and Frankfurt have netted in all but one of their last 10 in the Bundesliga, although that shutout came last time out. In fact, after drawing 1-1 against Chelsea, fatigue could be a factor and Die Adler may fall short.
