The World Cup is almost here and Belgium can put the final touches on their preparation with an easy win over Costa Rica.
Belgium 15/4 to win by three goals
The Red Devils are again everyone’s dark horses for glory in Russia and have not lost since a friendly defeat to Spain in September 2016.
A tricky Group G awaits and the Costa Ricans should provide a test similar to fellow Central Americans Panama.
However, as they showed in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Egypt, Roberto Martinez’s men are shaping up nicely and having not conceded in their last three, I was originally eyeing the home win to zero.
That’s a short price though, so instead the win by three is my pick. Los Ticos cruised through qualifying but lost to the other side in Group G, Tunisia, in March and were lacklustre in Thursday’s 2-0 defeat to England.
Although they have Keylor Navas between the sticks, the Costa Ricans are starting to show their age and I’m backing Belgium for a confident win.
Senegal 37/20 to win to zero
The other international sees Senegal take on South Korea in what should be a low-scoring affair.
Les Lions de la Teranga lost 2-1 to Croatia last week but are a decent outfit and are especially tight, keeping clean sheets in their two games prior to Friday’s loss in Osijek.
Goals have been an issue for the Koreans and they were again blunt in Thursday’s stalemate against Bolivia and I think the class on show for the Senegalese will result in a win to zero.
