Last night’s late heroics from Derby got us off to a good start in the Championship and I think Middlesbrough can make it two from two at Millwall.
After taking over at Christmas last term, Tony Pulis guided Boro to within a whisker of promotion, eventually falling short in the play-offs.
Some canny signings have added further depth to his squad and although there remain doubts over the chances of some of his key players staying put beyond the summer window, Boro are sure to be there or thereabouts.
Millwall were brilliant last term, almost making the top six on a limited budget and Neil Harris is developing into a fine manager.
Again he has had to cut his cloth accordingly and although some of his signings have been decent, I’m not sure they will have enough today and I really like the price for the away win.
Sheffield United enjoyed a fine campaign last time around and some good signings suggest they will be looking at the top six again.
They welcome Swansea to Bramall Lane, a club who seem to have abandoned their principles in recent seasons and new boss Graham Potter appears to have a rebuilding job on his hands.
This is Potter’s first game in English club management after working wonders at Ostersunds and with he himself admitting there is work to be done, I’m backing the Blades to cut his side apart.
